September goals RECAP

Ironically I was weeks late posting my September goals, and now I am weeks late at posting the recap for it. I completely forgot about it. Better late than never, right?

Personal goals

  • Read 6 books — I only read 4 books.

The Coworker by Freida McFadden | 5 ⭐️

The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes | 5 ⭐️

When Your Best Isn’t Good Enough: The Secret of Measuring Up by Kevin Leman | 4 ⭐️

The one by John Marrs | 4 ⭐️

  • Meditate 3 times a week — I slacked on this one.
  • Create a space I love — I am happy with the way my room is!

Self-care goals

  • Journal daily — Yes!
  • Practice affirmations — I have been doing them most days, but not every day.
  • Do skin care routine — I had a rough spot on my skin, but it is a lot better now because I have been making sure my face is clean and moisturized.

Health / Wellness goals

  • Move body everyday — Yes! I am working out again.
  • Eat more fruits & veggies — Better than I was.. Not yet where I want to be.
  • Have 10k steps a day —7/30 times this month. I was usually between 5K and 9K.
  • Drink 40 oz of water daily — I did not do too good on water intake this month.
  • Stretch daily — Yes!

Social media goals

  • Gain 5 subscribers/followers on main platforms I use — I only gained any on YouTube and my personal instagram. On YouTube and my personal instagram , I gained 3 subscribers in both of them.

Book goals

  • The Coworker by Freida McFadden

  • When Your Best Isn’t Good Enough by Kevin Leman

  • Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell

I am trying to finish Gone With the Wind by the end of October. I will have to wait till All the Light We Cannot See is available on Libby again.

Overall, I have met most of my goals for the month, and I am happy about that. Setting goals lets me be able to have something to work toward.

Summer Bucket List 2020

Lists help me feel more put together than I actually am. I made a summer bucket list, which just consists of things that I want to do before summer is up this year.

Summer 2020 (June 20 – September 22)

  • Have character backgrounds of characters in my book
  • Volunteer more
  • Go hiking
  • Go paddle boating and/or kayaking
  • Save $1500
  • Go on vacation
  • Send people letters
  • Be active on WordPress, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok
  • Stream on Twitch
  • Finish watching ‘The Originals’
  • Read 3 books
  • Get really tan
  • Be consistent with working out
  • Look in the mirror once a day and say 3-5 things I like about myself
  • Listen to/read self-help
  • Ask for help
  • Celebrate the 4th of July
  • Declutter
